Delicious Dinner! Recipes included! :)

Hey Everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I've updated. I'm trying to do better!

I would like to take this moment to brag a little bit! I made a freaking amazing dinner the other night! Dallas even asked me what the special occasion was! Haha. But, no special occasion! Just showing my love and appreciation for my hubby and I was watching Julie & Julia and had a hankerin to make a delicious feast! :) I'm gonna include the recipes..as best as I can anyway. I mostly just go with the flow. But I tried to do measurements this time.

First off I made what I call "Brown Sugar Deliciousness" haha.
Basically, you take however many chicken breasts you need out of the freezer and lay them out to thaw.

Once thawed you slice them through the center horizontally and then you take a slice of ham and a slice of cheddar cheese and place it in the center. Kinda like cordon bleu.

Then take some brown sugar and sprinkle it over the ham and cheese and then sprinkle over the whole chicken breast.

Set your oven for 375 and cook for about 20-30 mins.

Next I made some delicious "Reynolds Mashed Potatoes"

Take 4 russet potatoes (or however many you need for your family) and chop them up.

Set large pot with water and chopped up potatoes to boil until fork tender.

Once fork tender then mix 1/2 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of sour cream.

Use masher to mash the potatoes and add salt and pepper for taste.

And last are my delicious "Reynolds Bruschetta Bread"

You will need a french baguette, olive oil, mozzarella cheese, roma tomatoes, a yellow pepper, and a garlic clove and garlic salt and basil or oregano and butter.

Place two frying pans on the stove with olive oil and butter on medium heat.

Chop up roma tomatoes and yellow peppers and put into one frying pan with olive oil and cook until soft. Sprinkle garlic salt and oregano or basil on top.
Take sliced bread and fry in 2nd frying pan (yes, fry) until golden brown on both sides.

Once fried take garlic clove and rub on each side of slice of bread.

Take the vegetables and spread evenly on each slice of bread and sprinkle some extra oregano or basil on top as well as mozzarella cheese.

And BAM! Delicious dinner! Unfortunately I only took pictures of the Bruschetta but next time I promise to get the potatoes and chicken.

Oh and don't forget the gravy. I just get gravy mix out of the baking aisle! :)

Hope these recipes made sense! Feel free to use them! :)

Blessed

I have just been feeling so blessed lately. I have an amazing husband, wonderful parents, great in-laws, and loving friends. I can get a little crazy at times and they are always there for me and it's so wonderful! I'm soo excited that Summer is almost here! I've had enough of this winter and this snowy and gloomy weather! It's time to soak up some sun and get me to a beach ASAP!

For, you see, each day I love you more,
Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.

Honky

Dallas and I had quite the adventure tonight. We were on our way home from a car dealership (Dallas is trying to sell his truck) When we see this goose walking in the middle of the road. We nearly hit it. We pulled into a parking lot and Dallas ran into the middle of the road and chased it to the side where it was safe. We figured it was injured because it wasn't flying or anything. I was calling everywhere trying to see if someone could come get this goose and make sure it was safe. Dallas put his coat over it and stuck it in the back of the truck but it jumped out. We didn't want to put it in the backseat for fear of it freaking out...so we sat there for an hour. The goose got used to us and sat down right next to us as we waited for a cop to show up. We thought it was weird that this goose was totally calm with us. It wasn't trying to attack us or anything. Anyway, so the cop arrived and just shined the flashlight on it was just like eh it's fine just let it be. The cop was a jerk. It made me so mad. Well, obviously there wasn't really anything we could do at that point. So, we tried to leave. But the goose followed us to our car! It gets better...we started driving off and the goose started running after our car and then flying RIGHT NEXT TO OUR WINDOW! We were like what the heck?! And it managed to land right in front of our car so we had to stop. We didn't know what to do! The goose didn't want us to leave. But we couldn't do anything cause it already jumped out of the back of our truck so we just tried to leave again. And it started flying after us again but it gave up and I just lost it! I started bawling my eyes out! I feel so so awful. Dallas even named it Honky. I just pray it's safe and didn't get hit. I feel like the worst person in the world. I just thought I'd share this crazy story with y'all. Thanks for listening haha.
